Research supports the effectiveness of equine therapy, with studies showing positive outcomes across diverse populations. Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) has proven beneficial for treating depression, anxiety, and trauma, particularly in adolescents and first responders- according to a study done by the Science Publishing Group in 2024. Participants reported improvements in self-confidence, emotional regulation, and behavior. Equine-Facilitated Psychosocial Programs (EFPP) also enhance mood, social interactions, and address issues like substance abuse.

These findings highlight the powerful therapeutic benefits of human-horse connections, making equine therapy a promising approach for mental health and well-being.
